People had recognized the might of the Rizaleῆos as they unleashed their artistic side, some of them express it through celebrations like festivals.
Festivals are believed to originate from Spain. The Spanish Government that colonizes the Philippines that time brought this event which we called Festival. Festivals are done here in the Philippines as thanks and also an offering to their saints for their good harvest.
In the new generation, festivals are done as a tradition for their respect to their belief and the celebration which signifies to their rich culture.
The Rizal Province has dozen of festivals that we should be proud of. Every municipality has a unique festival that they could show off. It introduces to other people their rich culture and belief which makes them unique as the way of their celebration. Their devotion had ignited their artistic side to come up with different clothing, different choreographs and colourful designs to their props.
Taytay’s special festive celebration is called the Hamba, Makina’t Kasuotan (HAMAKA) Festivals.
